Dr. Jill Tessler

Dr. Jill Tessler received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from University of California, Davis in 2002. She completed a rigorous one year internship focusing on veterinary emergency medicine and critical care for the Pet Emergency and Specialty Center in La Mesa, California in 2005. Although her practice is grounded in Western medicine, Dr. Tessler also appreciates what other modalities can offer and took coursework and examinations from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 2006.

Recently, Dr. Tessler decided to bring her artistic skills into her career path. She moved to Chicago in 2013 to acquire her Master of Science in Biomedical Visualization (otherwise known as medical illustrating) from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Tessler currently lives in Chicago with her 16 year old cat, Ralphie, who she adopted as a 6 week old ophaned kitten while she was still in veterinary school. She finds the city vibrant and fascinating and she is excited to see what the future holds!
